The past chairman of PDP resign from position

Goodluck Jonathan
                               President Goodluck Jonathan.
Abuja - The immediate past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP), Tony Anenih, has said his resignation was to allow President Goodluck Jonathan take over the position, reports Premium Times.

He said his decision to relinquish the position would enable the President to effectively assume the leadership of the party’s BoT.
Anenih in a one-page letter he signed and sent to President Jonathan, said he was stepping down based on the agreement he had with Jonathan to handover to him.

He stated that he had decided to formally put the agreement into writing to enable Jonathan effectively assume the Chairmanship of Board of Trustees.
Anenih’s resignation on Wednesday  followed a similar decision by the party’s Chairman, Adamu Mu’azu.
