According to the APC, Yero had requested the state to withdraw an amount of N2.744 billion of SURE-P money which was meant to be distributed among the 23 local government areas.

Members of the Assembly had rejected Yero's demands but he had kept putting pressure on some members to approve the disbursement of the money.
The APC Transition Committee wrote a letter to the EFCC detailing how Yero has been putting the legislature under pressure and in less than two weeks his tenure expires.
The APC has clearly asked the EFCC to investigate the matter as it's clear that the money was not going to be used for public interest.
